Videos online

I did some searches in You Tube and Google video and found the results a lot more satisfying with Google. You Tube searches seem to be limited to You Tube hosted videos whereas Google finds videos from both places, and all sorts of other places as well. Google also has an advanced search function that I thought was useful.

I was amused by a Lego version of Monty Python http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIXByCAIzos and I thought the Mosman Library author talks demonstrate a good use of this technology in a library situation.

I thought this video was simple but quite effective.

And I couldn't resist this one, although the same point could have been better made in about a quarter of the time. I'm sure we can all think of a patron we know who would benefit from this treatment!

Don't know why the embedding thing didn't work here. This link will have to do instead. http://video.google.com.au/videoplay?docid=3686063735886459442&q=library+phone&pr=goog-sl

Can't see an immediate application for video in my library - maybe in the future.
